Worthwhile Worship

David was a man who enjoyed worship. He felt uplifted by it, so he said, "I was glad when they said to me, let us go to the house of the Lord!"
What was the secret to his eagerness towards worship? Read carefully what he wrote in Psalms 5:7: "But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will worship toward thy holy temple." Within this short verse we find four things that made David's worship worthwhile. They will make ours more meaningful as well.

Happiness..Christian joy, are there such things? According to the apostle Paul there is. From a prison cell he wrote these words, "rejoice always." This can be done in any of life's situations if one learns to focus on Christ. Indeed, the Christian has much to rejoice about, but his happiness stems from his relationship with God through Christ. Despite any difficulty we must realize that we can and should rejoice. Many don't - let's consider how the Bible shows we can suffer adversity with dignity and joy.
