In today’s religious world we continue to hear of many denominational groups debating and dividing over secular issues. It is enough to make one think that the unity among believers prayed for by Christ and pled for by His holy ambassadors is just a pipe dream. However, there was a time when this unity existed and flourished. Even at one time in this country, not so long ago, men realized the need for true unity. The call in those days was “back to the Bible” and it was heard and men had hope. A few today still hold out hope for the “unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” (Eph 4:3) With this in mind we offer these thoughts this week in hopes that many might answer the call of Jesus for unity.
