Truth Abides Forever

The apostle John opens his second epistle with the following words: “The Elder, to the elect lady and her children, whom I love in truth, and not only I, but also all those who have known the truth, because of the truth which abides in us and will be with us forever.” (II John 1:1-2; NKJV)
Truth is a philosophical nightmare. What is truth and how it operates has been an elusive question from the beginning of time. I imagine it will remain so, philosophically. However, when discussing what the New Testament refers to as truth there should be no question for God has defined it thoroughly.
For our time together this week let’s discuss the Bible concept of truth.

Let me begin by saying that I am by no means a scientist. However, as an intelligent person, although my children might debate me on that one, I believe that an honest discussion of science is one that is fair and open to examination. Unfortunately, in our society, especially our schools, there is no open and honest debate. If Evolution were a sure and true science, as its supporters claim, then why would it run from the Biblical concept of Intelligent Design? Why be afraid to hold this “science” up against the other scientific evidences of creation?
I will allow you to answer these questions for your self as this week we examine the scientific evidence as well as the Biblical evidence of creation.
